تحتوي البطاريات المستعملة على معادن ثقيلة تلوث البيئة وتضر بها، لذلك ينصحُ الخبراء بضرورة التخلص منها بشكل صحيح لتفادي أضرارها وتجنب ترسب أية مواد سامة، ولكي يتم الاستفادة من مكوناتها في اعادة تصنيع بطاريات جديدة.
