A number of Oman Air flights have been cancelled as a result of the Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) directives on suspending operations of Boeing 737 Max 8 flights.
The decision will affect flights to Calicut, Hyderabad, Riyadh, Bahrain, Bombay, Salalah, Dubai and Bangalore for four days.
“We have cancelled the following flights in the period between 19th to 22nd March 2019,” Oman Air said in its statement.

Travellers who have already booked tickets will be given alternative flights.
“We are rebooking guests on alternative/next available flights to their destinations,” the national carrier said while advising guests who are due to travel during the same period to check the flight status or contact Oman Air’s call centre at (+968) 2453-1111.
The suspension of Boeing 737 Max 8 came following the crash of the Ethiopian Airlines passenger jet which killed 157 people.
