Artificial Intelligence (AI) will be used to detect breast cancer in five hospitals in Oman, according to the Ministry of Health (MoH) and the Information Technology Authority (ITA).
After recording a success rate of 96 per cent on 151 cases, Salim Al Ruzaiqi, CEO of ITA said he will continue to support MoH to expand this model to five hospitals in Oman this year.
This was revealed on the third day of COMEX 2019, which has seen participation from international tech giants like Huawei, Microsoft, and SAP, in addition to Oman’s government institutions and Small and Medium Enterprises.
“We look forward to employing the techniques of the Fourth Industrial Revolution to enhance the quality of government services in various fields,” said Al Ruaiqi.
