Here’s How The Ultimate Mother’s Day Gift Can Also Help Those In Need In Oman

This new initiative by Dar Al Atta merges charity with the act of gift-giving.

Choosing the perfect gift for your mother can be a tricky affair. While handbags and jewellery can go a long way, you can opt for something more personal this year with Dar Al Atta – a personalised letter.

The criteria is simple: donate money to a family in need under your mother’s name and she will receive a personalised letter from the charity organisation.

Those interested can head to donate.om and spend between RO1 and RO999 on any charity programme, take a screenshot of the bill and send it to 9894-9688 via Whatsapp.

In less than 24 hours, you will be asked to share your and your mother’s name – and the card will then be despatched. The content reads (in Arabic): “Dear Mother, because we love you, we give you a priceless gift, an ongoing charity to a family in need.”

Donate.om is the official donations portal approved and supported by the Ministry of Social Development of Oman and allows donours to contribute to charitable organisations online.

The portal then processes donations through Oman-issued bank cards (International cards aren’t accepted at the moment).
