Strawberry cheesecake doesn’t taste the same without fresh, hand-picked strawberries.

For eight years, a family-owned farm in Bahla has been offering visitors an opportunity to walk around their property and pick locally-grown fruits and vegetables.
While U-Pick farms are a well-known business model in many countries, the concept is relatively new to the Sultanate.
Farm-owner, Sheikh Saeed Al Hanai said he came up with the idea when he saw a lack of demand for fruits and vegetables in local markets – turning his land into a U-Pick farm shortly after.
“People loved the idea and started showing up every day to pick up fruits and vegetables,” he explains.
The farm features a variety of fruits and vegetables including buckthorn, cucumbers, oranges, lemons, and its bestseller – strawberries.
Al Hanai says that March is the best time to visit as more fruits ripen by the end of winter.
