The Muscat Festival will be suspended for today [Monday, 4 February] at both venues – Naseem Garden and Al Amerat Park – due to forecast of heavy rains.
In a tweet on its page, the festival’s management announced: “Due to the weather forecast, and to ensure the safety of all visitors, we have decided to close Muscat Festival venues and stop all events on Monday, February 4,”
Rains battered parts of Oman leading to several wadis overflowing and leading to flooding in nearby areas. The rainfall is expected to continue until Wednesday.
