Four new cases of Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) coronavirus have been reported in Oman, according to the Ministry of Health.
With this, the total number of MERS cases has touched 18 since 2013, a year after the virus was first identified in Saudi Arabia.
The Ministry said on its Twitter handle that patients are getting medical care at a local hospital.
“We urge citizens and residents to comply with preventative measures to prevent infections and to follow the right health habits when sneezing and coughing.”
