149 expats who were found violating the labour law in Oman, were arrested and detained on Monday during an early morning inspection in North Al Hail, Al Seeb.
Carried out by Royal Oman Police in conjunction with the Ministry of Manpower, the surprise checks targeted houses that reportedly accommodated blue-collar workers.
According to the Ministry, of the 149 expats, seven were women. “Legal procedures are ongoing,” it tweeted.
