ROHM presents Nasser Shamma with ROSO

Where: Royal Opera House Muscat

Naseer Shamma, the acclaimed Iraqi oud musician and composer is known for his unique style of playing and as an ‘Artist of Peace’. In 1999, he founded Egypt’s prestigious House of Arabian Oud. Shamma has considerable experience dialoguing with contemporary international artists in East-West exchanges, such as with world-renowned guitarist Enrico de Lemgour in a 1997 soloist talk forum. Naseer Shamma has composed countless works for theatre, television and radio, receiving high honours and winning many awards. In addition, he has released numerous successful CDs, with Journey of the Soul as the latest. For ROHM’s concert, the Royal Oman Symphony Orchestra is led by Lebanese conductor, Andre El Hajj.

 

Pen Art and Hand Lettering Workshop

Calling all art lovers… This beginner-friendly workshop is for all art lovers, even those who cannot draw. The workshop will use pens and sketches to teach how to draw and stipple beautiful illustrations with the help of a few exercises. You will be provided with pens to take home and sketch pens to add some colour on paper along with some fun exercise sheets and a final piece that you would create with the help of a tutor.

The workshop will use counselling techniques to teach you how to change negative thought patterns and behaviours, and will demonstrate how incorporating and practicing mindfulness can enable us to reduce our anxiety and stress.

Tunes ‘Live Saturdays’
